Kaffee Hag Sammelmarke

A single collectible stamp (Sammelmarke) from Kaffee Hag's "Deutsche Ortswappen," showing the town arms of Glücksburg, drawn by the heraldist Prof. Otto Hupp. In the early 20th century these stamps grew into the largest collection of German town and municipal coats of arms. Photographed from a personal copy. Kaffee Hag issued these heraldic stamps in "Weltformat V" (4 × 5.66 cm), a paper standard defined by Die Brücke; the "Deutsche Ortswappen" series appeared between 1913 and 1938 with artwork by Prof. Otto Hupp (1913).

Erwin Nöbbe – Emergency Money

Two 1920 emergency-money notes (Notgeld) for the town of Glücksburg, 50 Pfennig and 1 Mark, designed by the Schleswig-Holstein artist Erwin Nöbbe (1882–1948). In the years after the First World War, German towns issued their own small-denomination Notgeld, often beautifully illustrated with local motifs. Photographed from personal copies; the 50 Pfennig note is dated 17 June 1920, the 1 Mark note was issued by the town of Glücksburg in 1920.
